I have reached the point in time where I am finally comfortable in the skin I am in but that wasn’t always the case. This not only resulted in a low self-esteem but also kept me away from discovering my style as well. For a very long time in my life, I did not wear skirts. Sometimes due to social obstructions, sometimes due to my own mental inhibitions. But I have always admired long, flared skirts that trail behind your legs, especially the low high maxi skirts.

Well, I couldn’t understand the attraction, but I realized this is one part of my personality I need to embrace. So one fine day, I decided to get over my mental obstruction just got one for myself. I am a huge fan of Pinterest, and learning cello has been on my bucket list. So one day I was googling about cellos, and I came accidentally landed on a page with very beautiful styling pins for cellists. I funnily was reminded of Master Oogway’s statement from “Kungfu Panda” that said: There are no accidents. I believe the man was right!
I came across a beautiful ensemble of a plain white tucked in shirt and a wide belted high-waisted floor-length skirt. The collar was tastefully lifted just right, and the lights were perfect in the picture.
That’s when it hit me, I got my inspiration for an outfit. All I needed was a designer who’d do the same for me. Lucky for me, I learned about CurvesOnStyle on Instagram. Kritika is a fashion designer based out of NCR (Faridabad) and boy is she amazing! I called her up and we had a long discussion on how I wanted my designs to be. She was very patient and great at visualizing my ideas. We had a detailed discussion about what would suit my body type, what materials should I wear that would be comfortable and look chic at the same time. She also designed the shirt, which is lined, so I don’t have to worry about it to go see through.
I absolutely loved what I received, I had a lot of fun at the shoot as well. I wore the outfit to work one day and people loved it. The location chosen for this shoot is this beautiful cafe called Cafe lazy Beans. The place has hand-painted pictures of characters of pandas. I am a fan of the wall with all the beautiful frames.

Fashion for the curvy is a bit more complicated than the normal sizes as each one of us have our own problem areas. CurvesOnStyle not only designed this beautiful ensemble but also helped me learn more about my body type, and what would look better on me. Her Instagram page displays her couture work and the designs are so chic.

About Denim and Flou: For the Glamazon IRL

About Denim and Flou: For the Glamazon IRL

Denim, Flou and the plus size me. Seems like this season is screaming Fashion in every sense possible!. With the onset of summer 2016, did trend the ultimate, everlasting fashion necessity- Denim. Denim is the all time basic fashion. It would be a shame to call Denim a mere “trend”. Denim is truly fashion, never ending, always in. Not only it is comfortable, it is the easiest hack for the quickest chic look there is. Just throw in some Denim, add a splash of Flou and Bam! You got yourself a Goddess! #Diva

Lucky for us Denim Fashion 2016 does come in a lot of forms to rock up the most comfortable material there is for any-event-you-name-it. Be it regular Denim pants, or skinny jeans, or skirts, maxi dresses, even bikinis, Denim has practically found its place everywhere.

Okay so this is my first #LookBook ever, so please be kind. 🙂

For my first LookBook, I decided to choose the Elegant Diva Maxi Dress By StalkBuyLove. And since I looveeee neon, I decided to pair it up with a Flou bag and Neon pink shoes. Now I have created both classy and sassy looks by merely choosing two different kind of shoes.

The classy Ladida in me chooses nothing but stilettos. And my love for accessories can be easily seen in the pictures. I loved the flow of the dress. it’s proper- neither too much neither too less. The length also is perfect. Especially for a 5’8” ish plus size person like me, length becomes a major hurdle while choosing clothing. The dress fits like a charm. And above everything, its super comfortable. #Awwwww

Throw in a bunch of accessories and go Awesome in Seconds. A pair of Stilettos makes the look super elegant.

I chose the coral nudge bag that goes perfectly with my Flou stilettos. The bag again has been purchased from #StalkBuyLove. Ladies, if you want some serious dope collection for handbags, which give you an edge of quirky and elegance at the same time, look no further than StalkBuyLove.  Nt only the color is amazing, the quality is amazing too.

Denim and Flou- Just can’t get enough of them!

I believe styling for a plus size person is more fun, you get more space to style. #InsideJoke

It’s all about wearing the confidence and smile, and SWAG. #IGotIt 🙂

Denim and Flou- Classy and Sassy at the same time.

The Dress: I couldn’t find anything more perfect for my summer look than this dress. I am particularly in love with the sleeve length of this dress. Its neither too short, nor too long. Its appropriate. The material is extremely light weight, comfortable and soft. The color is oh-so-denimish-blue. The dress is easy to carry. It has a side zipper for a better fit.

Right bag. Right shoes. Right Music. Life sorted.

The Bag: The bag is coral nudge by StalkBuyLove. Now this baby is a great find. It’s faux leather, so supports my support for the love of animals. (So Yay!). The color is the most significant part on the outside, but its actually the quality that takes the cake. It comes with an attachment that can be used to turn it into a sling bag as well. The bag has goldden zippers, is quite spacious and can be ideally used by the office goers as well.
